Common questions
Is GetFormatted free?
Every tool is free. Quick tools need no account, and Pro raises size limits. See getformatted.com for current pricing.
Are my files uploaded?
No, with one exception. Tools run in your browser. Word, Excel and PowerPoint to PDF conversion is uploaded to a converter after you confirm, and is not kept.
Will my passport photo be accepted?
GetFormatted is not affiliated with any government and cannot guarantee acceptance. Country pages link to the issuing authority and show when the requirements were last read, so confirm with the receiving authority.
What is the difference between Edit and Redact?
Edit covers existing text. Redact removes it from the file. Use Redact when content must truly disappear.
Is the signature legally binding?
It is a visual signature, not a certificate-based digital signature. Check whether the receiving party accepts it.
